Obituary
Connie Marie Matso, 48, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Tuesday night, Dec. 18, 2012, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Connie was born April 24, 1964, in Sandusky, daughter of Beatrice (McKillips) and the late Russell Matso. She was a graduate of Kelleys Island High School and EHOVE Career Center. She was employed with PCSO in Vermilion as a medical biller.

She was a member of Zion Methodist Church on Kelleys Island. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, being outdoors, attending flea markets and garage sales and being with people. Most of all she enjoyed taking care of her son Phillip, and being with her family and friends.

Connie is survived by her son, Phillip Schaefer, of Sandusky; mother, Beatrice Matso, of Sandusky; maternal grandmother, Florence “Sis” McKillips, of Kelley’s Island; sister, Lisa (Philip) Luna, of Huron; brother, Paul (Deanna) Matso, of Sandusky; her loving nieces and cousins; and her cats, Bonnie and Clyde, whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her fathe, Russell Matso; brother, Phillip Matso; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Matso; and her maternal grandfather, Allen McKillips.

Friends may 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services and burial will take place on Kelleys Island in the spring. Pastor Bob May will preside.
