Obituary ~
Mary Ann (Metzger) Sennish, 81, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning at the Stein Hospice Care Facility. Mary Ann was born on March 2, 1930 in Port Huron, Michigan to Walter and Gertrude (Thomson) Metzger. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and worked in the Accounting Office at the former New Departure Hyatt. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and a member of the Sunday Finance Committee. Mary Ann enjoyed being a homemaker, family get-togethers, and her card club friends of over 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence, whom she married on October 28, 1950, two daughters, Jeannie Lutz of Sandusky, Marie (Brian) Heath of Sandusky; seven sons, Len (Judi) Sennish of Westlake, Jim (Jody) Sennish of Sandusky, Ed (Annette) Sennish of Sandusky, Marty (Lisa) Sennish of Huron, Bob (Tammy) Sennish of Sandusky, Ron (Jackie) Sennish of Sandusky, Jeff Sennish of Sandusky; 21 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Gertrude (Thomson) Metzger, and one son, John, in infancy. A private family visitation will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, September 10 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Reverend David Nuss will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
