Clyde – Joseph “Joe” Craig House, 58, died unexpectedly at home on July 8, 2021. He was born on April 1, 1963 at Camp Lejeune, Onslow, North Carolina, the son of Joseph Cleveland and Roxanna Lee (Schnurr) House.

Joe was a graduate of Clyde High School, class of 1981. He served in the Armed Forces, Army Division for 3 years, from 1982-1985. In Fort Lewis Washington he was as an Administration Specialist and ran the mail room for his company and served some time in Germany. From 1985 to 1988, he continued his service in the National Guard in Fremont, Engineering Battalion. In 1985, Joe furthered his education at Terra State Community College and became certified as a HVAC where he served the community for over 36 years as a heating and air conditioning contractor.

Joe was a member of New Life Community Church as well as AA. In Joe’s 30’s he began his love of aviation by building and flying airplane models. Continuing this enthusiasm for flying he learned how to fly hot air balloons and began to pursue his pilot’s license. He continued to follow these dreams and bought two gliders where he loved to experience life in the sky.He also was a devoted Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed watching the games live when he could.

Joe is survived by his spouse, Rebecca House (Clyde, OH); father, Joseph Cleveland House (Clyde, OH); Brother, Brian House (Clyde, OH); sister, Genie (Dale) Moyer (Clyde, OH); Nephews: Joseph House (Cincinnati, OH); Bryan House (Columbus, OH); Michael (Kayt) Harden (Sylvania, OH); Mason Harden (Findlay, OH); Niece’s: Melissa (Matthew) Nobes (New York, NY) and Michelle Harden (Oregon, OH).

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Roxanna Lee (Schnurr) House and his father of Kelly’s Island, Ronnie Beatty.

Memorial services and internment dates are yet to be determined.
