Sarah's husband, Daniel Patrick McGettigan, is buried in the Kelleys Island Cemetery. Sarah's name is on the headstone with Patrick. Sarah's year of birth is given, but the date of death is missing. When she died she was a widow. When when her medical condition of having pneumonia became severe she was sent to Providence Hospital, Sandusky, where she later died. It can only be "guessed" that living family members chose to have her buried close to her parents in Marblehead as opposed next to her husband on Kelleys Island. I can attest to the certainty of a headstone existing for Sarah McGettigan at St Joseph Cemetery as I took the photograph that is posted for her memorial on Find A Grave, Memorial #101696802.
