Note

Howard is listed on the US Federal Census in 1900, 1910, 1930, & 1940. In all records he is residing on Kelleys Island. As he was serving in the US Navy during WWI he may not have been on Kelleys Island in 1920.

Unfortunately, the Hamilton house on Woodford Rd fell into extreme disrepair and was torn down. The last known family to live in the house were the Kilko family. They lived there into the early 1980's.

The old house did not have running water. Floyd Erne used to bring water to fill his cistern. Obviously you had to use an outhouse, a "two-holer."There was a wood-fired stove in the kitchen which really warmed up the kitchen!
