Obituary Ralph Heckel was a shovel operator for Kelleys Island Lime and Transport Company. On July 21, 1926, while operating the shovel, he was accidentally killed by a blast of dynamite in the quarry. He was a member of the Evangelical Community Church and the volunteer fire department. He left behind a widow and four children. |
