Cdr Joseph Hewlett said in a letter to me dated August 17, 1971, that my great great grandmother, Eliza Mitchell (Elizabeth) who married Samuel Hamilton was a half sister to his great grandmother Ann Mitchell, who married Joseph Hewlett.
