Obit Iola M. Riedy,81, formerly of Kelley's Islanmd, residing at West Bay Nursing Home, Westlake, Ohio, died Monday night in her residence. She was employed by the Cleveland Public Library and the Kelley's Is;and Library (Sandusky Branch) for 30 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kelley's Island, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Bridge Club. She is survived by two daughters, Laura Smith, Sandusky: Mrs. William (Marie) Wiles, Troy, Mich,; one son Charles Riedy, Lakewood, Ohio, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert, in 1952; her parents, Charles and Marie E. (Malnati) Broggini; one son, Edwin, in infancy; and one sister, Avis Belle. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Groff Funeral Home, 1607 East Perkins Avenue, Sandusky. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kelley's Island. Burial will be in Kelley's Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church or to one's favorite charity. There will be a boat leaving Sandusky at 10 a.m. Thursday from Neuman Boat Dock to Kelley's Island for services. |
