Practically a week since their disappearance in the explosion of a pleasure-fishing boat off Kelleys Island last Tuesdya, the body f an island father and his son had been recovered today.

The body of Gilbert A. (Mike) Riedy, 43, was recovered Monday afternoon approxomaely two miles from the debris of the explosion rupture, Rene Dene off the island.

The body of his five year old son, Eddie, was found Tuesday morning by the Coast Guard at the site where the boat sank.

Mr. Riedy, operator of the Riedy boat service, commerical fisherman and island oil dealer, was a World War II veteran with three years inthe Coast Guard as a Boatman's Mate first class.

Formal verdicts of accidental death were expected to be returned in both cases, with deaths attributed to drowning rather than the explosion. Dr. Harrison W Pratt, Erie-co coroner, said there was no evidence of injuries to either the father or son following examinations.
