Obituary dated 9-20-1940 Charles B. Erne, 69, well known retired Kelleys Island fisherman, died in Providence hospital, Sandusky, Sunday afternoon, following an illness of several months. He is survived by his wife, eight sons, four daughters, and 19 grand children. The body was taken to the island Tuesday on the motorship Messenger, where funeral services were held from St. Michael's church on Wednesday morning, the Rev. L.F. Waler officiating. |
