Jeanne E. (Reinheimer) Schlesselman, 98, of Sandusky died Thursday evening, July 19, 2012 in the Erie County Care Facility following a brief illness. She was born June 10, 1914 on Kelleys Island, Ohio and married Oliver Schlesselman in 1930. Jeanne was a former member of Zion United Methodist (formerly EUB) Church on Kelleys Island, where she was Church treasurer for many years, pianist and Sunday School teacher. She was a former member of the Kelleys Island School Board. She moved to Vermilion in 1956 and attended and taught Sunday School at the E. & R. Church. She was also a Girl Scout Leader. Jeanne then moved to Sandusky in her later years, and had resided at Harborview for over 20 years. She is survived by her children: Miriam Haynes, Carol (Robert) Schnittker, both of Sandusky, O. Henry (Sonya) Schlesselman of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Ardith (Harry) Enlow of Vermilion, grandchildren: John (Susan) Haynes, Debra (Richard) Ridley, Patricia Haynes, Julie (Richard) Milner, Paul (Janet), Dale (Lana), Ronald (Barbara) Schnittker, Erica (Daniel) Radden, Hallie (David) Trainor, Wendy (Jon) Mullins, great grandchildren: Jason (Candice) Haynes, Timothy & Andrew Haynes, Kelly (Jason) Salyers, Allison (Adam) Buckner, Rachel & Matthew Ridley, Anna (David) Mattson, Joshua (Shelby) Milner, Katy & Abbie Milner, Taylor Currie, Ian & Riley Mullins, Ryan (Erin), Michael (Rebecca), Brandon (Nicole), Nicholas (Lindsay), Tracy, Kelly, Seth, Olivia & Octavia Schnittker, Tara (Derek) Tieche, Hannah, Julia & Lydia Radden, great great grandchildren: Hunter & MaKenna Haynes, Jonah, Will & Peyton Buckner, Kevin & Kayla Mattson, Olivia Salyers, Kennedy, Paige, Gianni, Evan & Grant Schnittker, several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver C. Schlesselman in 1976, her parents: Frank & Ida (Smith) Reinheimer, Siblings: John Reinheimer, Ruth Towle, and Miriam Haas, and one son-in-law: William R. Haynes. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in the Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church, 2401 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. The Rev. Paul Atkinson will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
