Emmeline Kelley starts the Kelleys Island Memorial Day Parade.

Per Anne Sennish:

(In memory of her son, Erastus) Emmeline Kelley, is the person who began the Memorial Day parade. She took my grandmother (Freddie Kelley), her young (great)niece, and marched through town. Grandmother, then Freddie Kelley, told me this. No one joined them the first year, but others began taking part as the years passed.
